General terms and conditions of sale for bed and breakfast stays
Preamble
HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL is a guest house managed by HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL LDA, a Portuguese company with a capital of 1000 Euros, whose registered office is located at Rua do Camejo, Lugar de Janas, Quinta de Santa Maria, união de freguesias de Sintra (S. Maria e S. Miguel, S. Martinhoe S. Pedro de Penaferrim, concelho de Sintra. Maria e S. Miguel, S. Martinho eS. Pedro de Penaferrim), concelho de Sintra The only applicable law is Portuguese law. Reservations made on the www.handioasis-portugal.com website are made directly with the accommodation, and only the terms and conditions of sale of the guest house apply.
Article 1 / Duration of stay
The customer who has signed this contract for a fixed period of time may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises.
Article 2 / Booking formalities
After receiving your reservation, we will send you a written confirmation by email and invite you to pay a deposit of 40% of the reservation within a maximum of 72 hours (but more quickly if it is a reservation made with less notice). Once this deposit has been received, the reservation becomes firm. By paying the deposit, you confirm your full agreement to the general terms and conditions specified below. Please note that without the deposit being paid within the specified period, the reservation is not confirmed and therefore we reserve the right to collect the rooms.
Article 3 / Cancellation of the stay by the client
Any changes are only possible after the agreement of “HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL LD” and may incur additional costs. We inform you that in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the start of the stay, the customer will be due, as a penalty clause, as follows:– from the date of the reservation the deposit is non-refundable – if the cancellation is made less than 45 days before the date of arrival, the full payment will remain with “HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL LDA”. In the event of early departure during the stay: full payment of the service booked.
Article 4 / Insurance
We draw your attention to the fact that Repatriation Assistance insurance is mandatory, when you book at HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL, we will offer you automatic repatriation assistance insurance through our travel agency YOOLA. In addition to this insurance, optional multi-risk insurance will be offered when you book. To benefit from our insurance, we invite you to contact the YOOLA agency.
Article 5 / Cancellation of the stay by the owner
If, before the start of the stay, the owner has to cancel the reservation, he must immediately inform his customer by e-mail with acknowledgement of receipt. The customer will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for the sums he has already paid.
Article 6 / Arrival time
Airport transfers are included at the time of booking, in order to ensure the reception and transport of the customer, the latter must indicate his arrival time and flight number, preferably, the customer will do his best to organize his arrival in 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. If the guest arrives before 7am or after 8pm in the evening, an additional charge of €20 will be charged. Rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival
Article 7 / Departure time
Airport transfers booked with HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL LDA will be arranged according to the flight schedules indicated by the customer, in order to ensure the check-in and transportation of the customer, the customer must indicate his departure time and flight number, preferably, the customer will do his best to organize his departure in 7 am and 1 pm. If the customer leaves before 7am or after 8pm in the evening, an additional €20 will be charged. Rooms must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure.
Article 8 / Payment of the balance of the accommodation
The balance of the stay is due 40 days before arrival. Tourist taxes, €2.60 per adult per night, are paid directly when booking on the www.handioasis-portugal.com website. Meals and drinks will be paid for on site the day before departure at the customer’s initiative.
Article 10 / Change of rooms
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially booked by the customer for a room of the same or greater capacity. In such cases, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.
Article 11 / Pets
Pets are not allowed. By way of derogation, small pets are allowed, but only in the room on the ground floor. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the establishment.
Article 12 / Lifestyle and use of the premises
In order to guarantee the tranquility of the place and the comfort of the guests of HANDIOASIS PORTUGAL, respect for a certain “art of living” is required of all. In particular, it is requested not to smoke inside the rooms and common areas. More generally, the customer undertakes to respect the instructions of etiquette that will be indicated to him, those that are binding on everyone when living in a community and these general terms and conditions of sale.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to systematically declare – and to assume financially – any damage for which he or she is responsible. It is specified that the kitchen in the main house is not left at the free disposal of guests.
The guests’ attention is drawn to the fact that minors on the property are placed under the sole and entire responsibility of their parents or persons having authority over them.
HANDIOASIS will not accept any liability for loss, theft and/or damage or injury to property and/or persons on the property, regardless of the cause.
Article 13 / Modification of the terms and conditions of sale
These terms and conditions of sale are subject to change at any time and without notice. Acceptance and compliance with these terms and conditions of sale are deemed to be acquired as soon as the deposit is paid.
